Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – Hilariocity Review

Official Synopsis: Video game adventuress Lara Croft comes to life in a movie where she races against time and villains to recover powerful ancient artifacts.

Review Summary:

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider is incredibly silly. So silly in fact, that you just have to respect it. Angelina Jolie as the titular raider of tombs was the very embodiment of the character made famous by the video games.

The action is suitably over the top, and the film is all the better for it. There is no reason to watch Tomb Raider expecting anything other than a tongue-in-cheek, outrageous adventure filled with hilariously memorable moments.

This is my ultimate guilty pleasure, and I’ve loved its silliness for years. Don’t expect something other than a faithful video game adaptation and you’ll have a blast with the idiocy.
