Mechanic: Resurrection – Movie Review
Arthur Bishop thought he had put his murderous past behind him when his most formidable foe kidnaps the love of his life. Now he is forced to travel the globe to complete three impossible assassinations, and do what he does best, make them look like accidents.
I believe there’s a place for movies like Mechanic: Resurrection. Action films like Commando, Cobra, Broken Arrow or even Lara Croft: Tomb Raider inhabit this place. This place is known as “Dumb Fun.” I like this place. It’s warm and inviting, and it doesn’t try to be anything it isn’t.
It’s easy to be critical of a film like this, despite the superfluousness of telling someone who wants to see Mechanic: Resurrection that it’s a dumb, idiotic, guilty pleasure action film, because trust me, that’s exactly what they want!
Mechanic: Resurrection joins the ranks of Commando, Cobra and Broken Arrow as a cheesy, machismo-drenched guilty pleasure. Shove popcorn in your face and have fun.
