A movie starring Wolverine and a character named Loki that’s not a comic book film? Impressive. Hit the jump to watch my full review…

Official Synopsis: When Keller Dover’s daughter and her friend go missing, he takes matters into his own hands as the police pursue multiple leads and the pressure mounts. But just how far will this desperate father go to protect his family?

Review Summary: Rarely am I this engrossed in a film. Each shot feels special and meticulously crafted. Prisoners is steeped in dread, and the feeling drenches the whole picture. Jackman is ferocious in the best performance he’s ever given, and Gyllenhaal is just as good. This film haunted me for days and weeks after seeing it, and the feeling still lingers. One of the best films of the year.
