Texas Chainsaw 3D – Movie Review

The first movie review of 2013! Yay. Hit the jump to see my full video review…

Official Synopsis: A young woman travels to Texas to collect an inheritance; little does she know that an encounter with a chainsaw-wielding killer is part of the reward.

Review Summary: The trend lately in Hollywood is that the first weekend in January belongs to horror. Unfortunately for us, it’s subpar horror. Gone are the days when a horror film was remotely horrifying. Now all we have is a bunch of teasing for 90 minutes and the most unlikeable protagonists known to man. Texas Chainsaw 3D features a horrifically idiotic script, emotionless direction, characters that manage to be dumber than the script, and a classic horror villain, turned into an antihero. It’s all a giant joke at this point.
