The Wolf of Wall Street – Movie Review

After the wonderful family film Hugo, Martin Scorsese returns to the adult world of cinema with his hardcore film, The Wolf of Wall Street. Hit the jump to watch my full review…

Official Synopsis: Based on the true story of Jordan Belfort, from his rise to a wealthy stockbroker living the high life to his fall involving crime, corruption and the federal government.

Review Summary: With the way popular cinema is today, the chance to see a new Martin Scorsese picture on the big screen is just the reminder I needed for why I love the movies. This film is not for the faint of heart. It features virtually every act of debauchery known to man, including hurling a little person onto a Velcro target. But what’s important is that the movie does not shy away from showing the consequences of this lifestyle. DiCaprio’s powerhouse performance, and Scorsese’s brilliantly energetic direction make this a must watch for film lovers.
